COVID-19 Has Hit Restaurants Harder Than Any Other Sector

Without a doubt, the restaurant industry has been one of the most battered sectors of the U.S. economy during the ongoing COVID-19 crisis. New data now shows it's the worst-hit sector, overtaking retail.

Closings, reopenings, and closings again have made it extremely tough for business owners to get their footing. Many have simply thrown up their hands and shut down their eateries 

According to a new report from Yelp, 

"The restaurant industry now reflects the highest total business closures, recently surpassing retail," the report said.
