Tech CEO Apologizes for Racist Tirade Against Asian American Family Caught on Video

There are tech bros who are assholes.

And then there are tech bros who get caught on tape being assholes.

And then there are tech bros who come out and apologize for asshole behavior, but really only because they got caught on tape.

Meet Michael Lofthouse, CEO of Solid8, a cloud computing firm based in San Francisco.

While dining at a California restaurant, Lofthouse gave the bird to an Asian family seated next to him.

“Trump’s going to fuck you,” he said. He also called one of them an “Asian piece of shit."

After the video of him went viral, Lofthouse came out with a statement.

“My behavior in the video is appalling,” he told San Francisco’s KGO-TV. “This was clearly a moment where I lost control and made incredibly hurtful and divisive comments.”
